This is a boat that came in with shifting issues. It has been lake tested and works great. It just needed an inner shift cable and shift I recently bought an older Cobalt boat with a Mercruiser Bravo 3 Sterndrive. The boat has a shifting problem where it goes easily into B3 clutches grab harder with more rpm's. Most likely the shift cable needs adjustment. Less likely the cone clutch is worn.

Hence why you have to replace the gear set.
